TWO SIDES OF STRENGTH

Unilateral Training for Strength, Stability & Control

You have two sides. But are they equally strong?

We walk, climb, carry, reach, rotate, step, and catch ourselves one side at a time. Most people have some kind of imbalance between both sides of their body, whether its strength, flexibility or balance.

Two Sides of Strength is a movement workshop focused on unilateral training using one side of the body at a time to build strength, stability, coordination, and control.

Why train one side at a time?

Your strongest movement isn't necessarily your heaviest lift. It's your ability to move with control and under load when things are not perfectly even.

In this workshop, we'll explore how unilateral training can help you:

  • Build strength and stability from the ground up

  • Identify and work with left/right differences

  • Improve balance and coordination

  • Develop stronger hips, core, and shoulders

  • Improve control through single-leg and staggered positions

  • Become more confident with movement, transitions, and loaded exercises

WHAT WE'LL EXPLORE

We'll use a combination of kettlebells, steel mace, body weight movement, and yoga-inspired transitions to explore unilateral strength in ways that are challenging, practical, and adaptable.

You'll learn how to create stability on one side while the other side moves and how to take that skill into everything else you do.

No previous experience with this type of training is required.

Whether you're newer to strength training or you've been lifting for years, you'll have opportunities to challenge yourself at the right level.

Two sides. One strong practice.
